หนังสายนี้มักเน้นที่ความแปลกใหม่ การทดลอง และการค้นหาผู้กำกับหน้าใหม่
ซึ่งสายนี้จะมีการมอบรางวัลทั้งหมด 5 รางวัล
ในปี 2010 มีหนังอยู่เรื่องที่คว้าไปได้ถึง 2 รางวัลคือ Label Europa Cinemas และ Palm Dog Award
หนังเรื่องที่ว่าก็คือ Le Quattro Volte (2010)
Palm Dog Award ชื่อรางวัลอาจจะดูตลกๆ แต่มีการแจกกันมาเป็นเวลา 10 ปีแล้ว (เริ่มเมื่อ 2001)
โดยให้รางวัลขำๆกับนักแสดงสุนัขในเรื่อง โดยตั้งชื่อเลียนแบบรางวัลสูงสุดของเทศกาล (Palme D'Or}
สำหรับ Le Quattro Volte (2010) เจ้า Vuk สุนัขในเรื่องก็ได้รางวัลนี้ในสาขา A Special Jury Prize ไปครอง
